Homemade Viennese Whirls

225g plain flour
40g cornflour / cornstarch
350g unsalted butter – 250g for whirls, 100g filling
250g icing / confectioners sugar – 200g for whirls, 50g for filling
2 tsp vanilla – 1 for whirls, 1 for filling
Small jar of jam / jelly – raspberry or strawberry works well
