In this video i’m making another food from a movie this time it’s the Godfather Meatball Recipe and it is one of the nicest meatball recipes I have ever tried you must give this a go!

The movie ‘The Godfather’ shows the character Clamenza listing off the ingredients for the perfect spaghetti sauce recipe, it’s listed as Michael listens and i’ve basically replicated it here (the parmesan and herbs genuinely are optional it is that good without it)

Start off by cooking the Italian sausage and meatballs in the pan with some olive oil, cook through until browned all over which should take around 20 minutes. Let them rest on some kitchen paper outside of the pan and then slice the sausage.

Keeping the same pan hot fry the garlic in the fat left in the pan from the meatballs for around 3 mins until it starts to turn brown and releases a pleasant aroma! Tip in the tinned plum tomatoes, hacking them up with a spatula (this really helps keep the sauce chunky, if you use tinned tomatoes you will have a more watery texture). Also add the tomato puree to the pan and stir well.

Add in the sausage and meatballs cooked earlier, and also add the wine and sugar mixing through well to combine. Tweak the combo here add more wine / sugar to taste and season if you wish.

Meanwhile cook the spaghetti to package instructions.

Once simmered down to a thick consistency serve on a bed of spaghetti with herbs and parmesan sprinkled on top, so good!

That’s it! Hope you enjoy and if you like movie food why not try this Shrek Gingy gingerbread man recipe
