2tbsp Nutella + more for dipping glass

1 shot vodka

1 shot chocolate liquor

400ml hazelnut milk

1tbsp cocoa powder

Small milk chocolate bar to grate

Nutella Martini – let that sink in for a moment! Yes, I had several requests sent to me to make this one that made it very difficult to ignore indeed! So what is it? Well a Nutella Martini has slightly different ingredients to a standard martini, but is alcoholic – so I guess that’s ok?! You can also serve this warm with or without alcohol for a Winter warmer pick me up!

Pour the hazelnut milk, cocoa powder and 2 good tabslepoons of Nutella into a saucepan. On a low heat cook and stir with a wooden spoon gently breaking down the bits of Nutella. As it warms the Nutella will thin out and you should be left with a warm smooth chocolate mixture, do not boil it, but warm it and get it hot to help the Nutella break down.

Using a sieve pour the chocolate mixture from the pan into a jug via the sieve. This will collect any big lumps at the bottom of the pan that could be hiding – we want this smoother than James Bond. Let stand to room temperature, then place in the fridge to chill.

You’ve probably got a bit of time now whilst it is chilling but one thing to do is get some Nutella on one plate and a heap of chopped hazelnuts on the other, roll the top side of a martini glass in the Nutella to create an even lip, then push into the bashed nuts to completely coat the rim. Leave to one side.

Once the Nutella mixture is nice and chilled remove from the fridge, pour into a cocktail shaker with 4 cubes of ice, add in the vodka & chocolate liquor (tweak to your liking and use baileys if you wish if you can’t get the chocolate stuff) shake up the mix to chill and blend then pour into your Nutella infested martini glass! Grate on some chocolate and then serve up – Stonking!
