In this video recipe Barry Lewis shows you how you can make your own homemade kentucky fried chicken. This recipe is extremely simple and very quick to chuck together, you can really tweak the seasoning combos and make them as strong as you like. The chicken left in the buttermilk is really worth it, you get fantastically tender chicken with that lovely crispy flavoured outside edge – give this a go and let me know how you get on, I actually prefer it to the KFC high street stuff as it’s just so fresh tasting. oh and please be careful when frying using the oil!

Please note: Depending upon the size of the chicken used you may want to bake it covered in foil for 10 mins, check before serving.
