Chocolate Peanut Butter Fridge Cake

by Barry Lewis

Ingredients

2 packs of oreos
2tbsp butter
250g cream cheese
150g peanut butter
150g icing sugar
450g whipping cream
10 peanut butter cups, roughly chopped
250ml milk
1 pack of chocolate dessert mix

This recipe has got to be up there with one of the naughtiest things I have ever made – a delicious no bake chocolate peanut butter fridge cake with oreos and reeses peanut butter cup chunks. If you make this, you need to take out a gym membership, but I was in the mood for making something extremely naughty!

Start of by whipping up your cream with an electric whisk, you could add sugar here if you want but it’s really not worth it as you’ll be mixing it with other stuff later.

Whizz up the oreos (save a few oreos for the end) in a food processor with the butter, this will make buttery oreo breadcrumbs which you can press into the bottom of your dish. Smooth them out so they are level with a spatula in your dish to make an oreo crust (there is no need to grease the dish by the way).

Mix cream cheese, peanut butter and icing sugar (2 thirds of it) together gently, until it combines and is smooth with a light peanut butter taste – this tastes incredible by the way…. follow up by folding in half of the whipped cream again until smooth. Spoon this layer on top of your oreo crust again so nice and level.

The next layer is using the majority of your peanut butter cups that have been roughly chopped, so sprinkle them on top and move on – told you it was naughty!

Make the chocolate dessert / pudding mix in a bowl with the milk, then add remaining icing sugar, then the other half of the cream – this also tastes sensational as it is! Pour this mixture on top and spread evenly once again.

Finish off with any leftover chunks of peanut butter cups and some rough chunks of oreo. Whack in the fridge for 3 hours to cool fully.

I promise you this is extremely naughty, but very, very, vey nice indeedy – good luck!!
