In this video recipe, my Daughters make some fun chocolate egg cones. An awesome Easter treat for you to try that is a real fun activity they will enjoy too!
I’ve already got a few other Easter Recipes here on the website and this is another great one to add to the pile. The things you will need are minimal, and it may get a little messy, which is half the fun, but you will love putting together these chocolate egg cones.
First up melt the white chocolate in a microwave on blasts, I recommend using baking chocolate as white can be very temperamental. With the chocolate melted carefully dunk the tops of the cones into it coating all over. Be careful not to put too much on or it will dribble off the cones. The white chocolate acts as a glue for this next step. Place the sprinkles into a bowl and roll them around until fully coated. Let them stand using some glasses until they firm up.
Once partially set (it should not take long) stick marshmallows into the cones nearly all the way up and again leave to one side. You can now melt the milk chocolate in a microwave again on blasts and pour it into a bowl with the wheat cereal that you will need to roughly bash. Mix well to create the chocolate nest look and spoon on top of the cones.
Place some chocolate eggs on top of the nests whilst still wet so they grip… (if they don’t you can use some spare white chocolate to help glue them). Let them set in the fridge for about 20 minutes and they should be ready to go!
I hope you enjoy making and eating these chocolate egg cones as much as my daughters did.
