Apple and blueberry crumble

by Barry Lewis

Ingredients

500g Bramley cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
200g pack frozen blueberries (or use other fruit)
40g caster sugar
225g pack crumble mix
40g Scottish porridge oats

In this video recipe my Daughter Phoebe shows you how to make a super easy and delicious apple and blueberry crumble! It’s absolutely gorgeous and very speedy to make this dessert will rock your socks – good times!! The recipe could not be simpler and the ingredients as you’ll see are minimal!

Start off by combining porridge oats in a bowl with a packet of crumble mix, which you can get in most shops (or you can make your own easily which I have done in other videos).

Into a separate bowl combine the apples and blueberries with the sugar and mix well together until well combined and coated.

Transfer the sugary fruit into an oven proof dish, then sprinkle with the crumble mix all over coating the fruit fully. Bake in a pre-heated oven at Gas 5 / 190C / 375F

Bake for roughly 50 mins or until golden brown and bubbling on top, you may get a little bit of juice spilling out which I think is awesome and makes it look pretty cool too!

Serve the crumble with some vanilla ice cream after letting it cool for 5 minutes, as it’ll be pretty darn hot at first!

We hope you give this crumble a try, it’s delicious!
