Oreo sushi, ramen lasagne and bacon twists sound more like bands from the 90’s but nope, they are all recipes suggested on the latest episode of Barry tries. So lets make them, see what we think of them and ultimately see if they taste good and would make again, TikTok recipes are always a bit of the unknown but these had quite surprising results!
How to make TikTok Oreo sushi
Separate the oreos putting the cream filling in one bowl and the biscuit halves in the other, if they break, just scrape off as much as you can as you go. Whizz up the biscuits in a food processor or bash with a rolling pin until fine crumbs are achieved, transfer to a bowl and add in the milk and mix through to form a dry batter, if it’s too dry add a bit more milk a little at a time. Roll this out on some cling film, spread the cream on top, trim with a knife to make a square shape and roll up into a log. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes and then slice into pieces. You can serve dunked in melted chocolate if you want to take it a step further!
How to make TikTok Bacon twists
On a lined baking tray take a bacon rasher and twist it carefully into a tight spiral shape. Keep twisting it slowly like a spiral and hold the other end to go the opposite way if you wish to speed up the process. Repeat with all the rashers and bake for 45 minutes @160fan/180c/350f, turning over half-way during cooking time until well charred. Optionally brush with maple syrup and bake for a few more minutes for a sweet sticky finish!
How to make TikTok Ramen lasagne
In an oven proof dish place 2 sheets of ramen, cover with one jar of tomato sauce, top with some cheese, repeat with another 2 sheets of ramen, the other jar of sauce and more cheese. Crumble one more sheet of ramen on top into breadcrumbs and coat with more cheese. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven @160fan/180c/350f, covering with foil if it starts to catch too quickly, allow to cool slightly then carve up into lasagne wedges!
