In this video we take on the super heavily requested oreo cookie dough brownies, which are also known as slutty brownies. This is no ordinary chocolate brownie… they have a chocolate chip cookie base, with a chocolate fudge brownie layer on top and an oreo cookie wedged between them. This is an extremely naughty treat but now I know why so many of you wanted to see it!

Start of by greasing a large square tin, ideally a loose bottom one if possible, or if not line it really well on the sides.

Make the cookie dough layer…. In a bowl add the 2 sugars and the melted butter, stir together until the sugar is dissolved into the butter. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking with an electric whisk until well combined. Slowly add in the flour and salt whisking again in batches until thickened. Fold in the chocolate chips throughout the batter. Spread this mix evenly into the bottom of the prepared tin.

Next get your oreos and lay them out on top. The should not sink into the batter and stay fairly rigid in place.

Finally make the chocolate brownie layer that drenches the oreos! In a microwave safe bowl add the butter and chocolate chips, heat on 30 second blasts stirring in between until melted and smooth. Allow to cool to one side. In a different bowl whisk the eggs and sugar using your clean electric whisk, do this for 5 minutes to drive air into the mixture. Once ready, slowly add the chocolate mix into the eggs, folding through just until all combined – don’t over stir it.

Add the flour, salt and cocoa powder, again folding through until well combined and thickened. Pour this mixture over the oreos and spread to level.

Bake in an oven pre-heated to 170fan/190c or equivalent, for 1 hour and ten minutes. Cover with foil if they start to burn as they bake. A toothpick inserted into the brownies should come out clean, if not, bake for a further ten minutes and check again, if it is just gooey that is ok.

Allow to cool fully to room temperature before attempting to slice the brownies, serving squares with cream and chocolate sauce on top!
