Asian KitKat Taste Test – I Got Sent These Bonkers Flavours

I got sent a bag of KitKats from Asia recently—and that kicked off a proper Asian KitKat taste test. These weren’t your usual chocolate bars. From pineapple tart flavours to hot chocolate drinks and bright pink strawberry bars, this was one of the quirkiest taste tests I’ve done in a while.

Some were surprisingly good, some were just odd… but it made for a fun (and very sweet) adventure.

What KitKat Flavours Did I Try?

There was a real variety in the bag—some classic chocolate, some completely unexpected. Here’s what I tried in this Asian KitKat taste test:

  • Pineapple Tart – bright yellow with a black base. Tasted a bit like tropical jam. Really interesting.

  • Strawberry with Sprinkles – bright pink with a “hundreds and thousands” look. Very sweet and fun.

  • Green Tea (Matcha) – vibrant green, earthy flavour. Not really my thing, but fun to try.

  • Raisin Cookie (Chunky) – one of the most unique ones. It somehow turned into a cookie as you bit into it!

  • Hazelnut Crunch (Large Bar) – this was a standout. Tasted like a Ferrero Rocher.

  • Cookie Crumble (Large Bar) – big bar with loads of snap and texture. Decent stuff.

  • Cookies and Cream – smooth, sweet, but didn’t quite stand out.

  • KitKat Bites – little round balls with wafer inside. Bit plain for me.

  • Hot Chocolate KitKat Drink – yes, a drink! Genuinely one of the best parts of the lot.

Favourite Flavours from the Asian KitKat Taste Test

My top picks? The hazelnut crunch was an easy winner—rich, nutty, and tasted way more premium than expected. I also really enjoyed the pineapple tart version. Totally different, fruity, and a fun surprise.

The hot chocolate drink was also brilliant—proper warming and chocolatey, not just a gimmick. Some of the others, like the bites or cookies and cream, were more middle-of-the-road.

Final Thoughts on the Asian KitKat Taste Test

This Asian KitKat taste test was genuinely good fun. It’s amazing how different chocolate can be depending on where it comes from—and how creative the flavours get. Some worked, some didn’t, but that’s all part of the experience.

If you’ve never done an Asian KitKat taste test yourself, I’d definitely recommend it. You never know which flavour will surprise you.
