Tasting Your Cursed Sandwiches

Tasting Your Cursed Sandwiches

When you ask the internet for its weirdest sandwich ideas, you get chaos. Beautiful, terrifying chaos.
This post is all about tasting your cursed sandwiches — recipes sent in by viewers that range from oddly genius to genuinely haunting.

I picked ten of the most cursed combinations you shared and made them for real. From Mars Bars with apples to triple fried eggs with chutney (thanks, Red Dwarf fans), to one that involved sardines and condensed milk, this was easily one of the strangest food challenges I’ve ever done.

The Sandwich Line-Up

“The Sweet Tooth Special” – Apple slices and a Mars Bar in buttered white bread. It shouldn’t work… and yet, somehow, it does.

“The South African School Lunch” – Apricot jam and cheddar on hot buttery toast. A sweet-meets-savoury childhood classic that confuses the taste buds.

“The Cloudy Pig Creation” – Bacon and marshmallow fluff. Like breakfast met a children’s birthday party and neither backed down.

“The Red Dwarf Sandwich” – Triple fried eggs with chutney and chilli sauce, straight from Lister’s cookbook. Sci-fi meets fry-up.

“Steak Night Bread Optional” – A full steak and kidney pie wedged between two slices of bread. Sunday dinner reinvented as a portable heart attack.

“The Gamer’s Guilt Sandwich” – Turkey, strawberry jam and crushed Corn Flakes. A Deadly Premonition tribute that tastes like breakfast had a breakdown.

“The Mustard Mayhem Sandwich” – Peanut butter, English mustard and salt & vinegar crisps. Crunchy, spicy, and deeply confusing.

“The Marmageddon Sandwich” – Marmite and lemon curd. Sweet, salty, and absolutely no winners.

“The Purple Problem” – Beetroot, salad cream and cheese. It looks like an injury and tastes like regret.

“The Sailor’s Revenge” – Sardines and condensed milk. Because sometimes you have to finish on pure horror.

Thoughts

As you’ll see, some were Barry Blessed, most were Barry Banished with one in particular that really did catch me off guard! Which one would you actually eat or do you have them already?!
