McDonald’s released a quirky milkshake called a grimace shake, to celebrate the Birthday of the character Grimace in the US & Canada, then in the UK to celebrate McDonald’s 50th Birthday. This was a blueberry flavoured milkshake, purple in colour just like the character. Unfortunately, by the time I heard about these milkshakes they were not available, not the the milkshake machine ever seems to work anyway!
Anyhow, I saw a post on Instagram of a mythical ‘Grimace meal’ – which includes a purple Grimace Big Mac, Fries and Iced Latte. Well, if you are new here you know I love a challenge (like this clear Big Mac) and decided to try and bring this to life! It was part fun of course, but also a food challenge, learning some interesting things about the benefits of steaming over baking the homemade buns for example! I hope you enjoy the video!
