Kitchen Gadget Testing Viral Watermelon Tool

It’s time for another kitchen gadget testing viral watermelon tool haul! Every now and then, I do a gadget sweep — rummaging through online finds, bargain bins, and occasionally something so “viral” that it has to be tested for science. This round of kitchen gadget testing included a cap remover that promised to make life easier, silicone loaf liners that might actually save a tin scrub, a hasselback slicer that went through more veg than expected, and a stuffed burger press that might just change barbecue season forever. Oh, and of course, the viral watermelon tool that nearly took my finger off.

Capoff by Brix – part of my kitchen gadget testing haul

Buy the Capoff by Brix on Amazon
This one was designed to help remove caps easily — and to be fair, it did. It’s one of those gadgets that you’d probably forget about until you’ve got a jar lid welded shut and suddenly feel grateful for it. Not groundbreaking, but handy to have in the drawer of random kitchen tools.

Silicone loaf tin liners – a handy kitchen gadget test

Get the silicone loaf tin liners here
A pack of two flexible loaf tin liners. They worked well in larger tins, helping loaves slide right out with no greaseproof paper gymnastics required. I did wish they’d thrown in a smaller one though — not all my tins are bread-sized!

Hasselback potato slicer gadget review

Grab the hasselback potato slicer on Amazon
This gadget worked nicely for slicing those perfect hasselbacks. It grips the potato and helps keep the knife steady, but I also got a bit carried away and tried it on a courgette and even a carrot… not quite the same effect, but hey, curiosity makes good telly.

The viral watermelon tool – chaos on camera

Here’s the viral watermelon fork I tested
You’ve probably seen this doing the rounds online — it’s meant to slice perfect cubes of watermelon as you roll it through. In practice? It was more like “fruit massacre.” Mine was a super-budget version, and it was razor sharp. I actually managed to cut my finger on camera — a first! To be fair, maybe a bigger watermelon would’ve worked better, but for me, it just made mush.

Stuffed burger press – the surprise winner of this kitchen gadget testing

Find the stuffed burger press here
This little gadget came from a bargain bin, so I wasn’t expecting much. Turns out it was brilliant. It stuffed the burger perfectly, held its shape, and made the patty look ridiculously plump. I even tried making a “watermelon burger,” which, as you might imagine, should probably never become a thing again.

Final thoughts on this kitchen gadget testing viral watermelon tool video

This haul was one of those classic mixed bags — some hits, some total head-scratchers, and a few that were more fun than functional. The burger press is getting a permanent place in the kitchen; the watermelon fork is going straight back to gadget jail.
